During the battle between Sasuke Uchiha and The Eight Tailed Demon, a great attack ended up destroying a minor amount of land, several miles away from the Cloud Village. The longterm result of the battle was the formation of a forest, and in memory of the victorious Uchiha, the Forest was entitled Forest of Sasuke
