Asao much enjoys the quiet time he manages to find now and again, whether it be up in his favorite large tree looming over his house from his backyard, or it be atop the roofs of taller buildings, any place he can find that makes him feel isolated and gives him a sense of solitude and serene and peaceful silence will suit him nicely. He also enjoys training, though he is not one to train all the time, he will still have his moments in front of a dummy or out by a tree stump or rock, perfecting his technique. He does not much enjoy reading as he does writing. Asao spends much of his “quiet time” writing, whether it be just short stories for friends or family, or grander projects he hopes to share with many. Whatever the case may be, he enjoys his writing, plain and simple. Now, this isn’t to say he doesn’t cut loose every once in a while and pull a practical joke on someone now and again, but he isn’t one to be a “full-time prankster”, he just figures at that point it would cease being “fun” and turn into more of an obligation.
Dislikes:
Asao does not dislike all too many things, however there are a few things which tend to get on his nerves. Asao dislikes being treated as a child, being babied for instance. He is always insisting on taking on a more “adult” personage, which may be due to his lack of a father-figure in his family, his father passing some time ago. This may cause a feeling of necessity to be the “man of the house”. He also dislikes those “praised” people. To say, those who are look at as a rock star or the like just because (He wouldn’t have been a real fan of Sasuke Uchiha, to say the least.) He also detests criticism from those who are not superior to him. For instance, he would not take well any criticism from a fellow Genin, or worse, someone “less” than him, say, and Academy Student. Not saying he won’t accept criticism from a sensei or parent, or adult-figure, just those who are not necessarily “higher ranked” than himself.
Personality:
Asao is much more a silent person. He isn’t all that outgoing and doesn’t like to be around people all the time. He isn’t a “social butterfly” as some are classified, no, he is more of an “isolated moth”, if you will, preferring to be in silence than in a room filled with chatty people. He will talk if he is familiar enough with someone, and it is only at the point where one would be considered “friend” that his true colors show. To sum it all up thus far, he is shy upon first encounter.
Now there is another side to him, one that is seen more once one breaks the barrier of acquaintanceship and enters into the realm of friendship. If one were to spend the time it took to become a “friend” of Asao, they would begin to see this clam open up quite drastically. They would begin to see his more intellectual side, one gained from constant reading and writing, though mostly writing. Not to mention their discovery of his humorous side. He seems to have something against pulling a prank on someone he does not necessarily know all too well. Basically put: Once Asao is made to open up, he becomes an entirely new human being.
Battle, now that is a scenario Asao takes rather seriously. When a fight kicks up or a mission hits a rut and fighting is going to be a must, all bets are off. It is at that point that Asao becomes much like his father was, completely serious and focused, his emotions typically in check, and his guard and defensive awareness heightened because of his increase in concentration. Fighting and battle are not something he jokes about, but when you father dies on a mission in which he squared off with several ninja all by his lonesome, who can blame you?
Training, ah yes training, the thing most normal kids do not like to attempt. But Asao is a different story, he is one who trains often, but not for the “fun” of it, but for the sole purpose of becoming stronger. Seeing as he detests being treated as a child, Asao is always looking to get stronger, thinking that if he were stronger, he would be treated more like an adult than a child. And so it is with this mindset that Asao will train, often and hard, often coming back completely drained and often battered from a sparring match with a large rock, which might not necessarily be the smartest of opponent choices, but it is what he chooses, plain and simple.

Asao stand at an average five foot one inch and he weighs approximately ninety-eight pounds. His hair is somewhat short, and (as is customary for most male Naruto characters…) slightly spiked, a light, or dusty, brown color to it. His eyes are a dark, full brown, almost seeming to be chocolate. His complexion is a light olive color, some believing him to be well-tanned, but it is nothing more than his natural skin color. History:
Young Life:
At a young age, Asao was a rather energetic and curious individual. Always wandering around and worrying his parents constantly because of his disappearing acts. However, over time his parents began to figure out the two most common Places he would end up, either beneath the tree in his backyard, or up in the quiet attic which was soaked in sunlight for a window up near the edge of the roof which, when he was older allowed him to stare out at the world around him, and to often drew inspiration for stories out of events he witnessed taking place throughout the village. From the age of six Asao spent much time watching his father train between missions etc, and he was awestruck by some of the techniques his father would perform. His father was not just a man putting on a show. To Asao he was of far greater importance. Often when his father was out on a mission, Asao would wait up for him, sitting at the window and staring off down the road in anticipation of his father’s return. His father, much like he would come to do, wrote stories. And on many nights, Asao would convince his dad to read some of his stories to him, which would allow him to slip off to sleep to the sound of his father’s voice.
Over time Asao grew to love his father and look up to him as his goal for the future, a role model of sorts, as most parents should be.
Academy Life:
Upon entering the academy Asao was ecstatic because he believed he was now beginning the road to becoming like his father, by starting in the academy he figured he was one step closer to becoming like his dad. But shortly after his enrolment, perhaps a year in, tragedy struck Asao, and is struck hard. He received news that his father had died while on a mission with his team, the specifics of his death were not released, nor was he allowed to ask questions concerning it. Confused and completely devastated, Asao began to spiral into a state of isolation and anger. He began to lose interest in his studies and his grades started to suffer. And he stopped talking to people, becoming anti-social and rather nasty towards others, losing quite a number of his friends due to his newly-acquired unfriendly demeanor.
It took some time, but near his graduation Asao managed to finally somewhat move past his father’s death, and drop his anger at the world, realizing it isn’t the fault of his friends, family, or other village citizens that his father had died. Though he did alleviate his anger, he shifted into a state more of indifference, a seemingly total lack of emotions. It was with this indifference that he finished off his academy studies, managing to half-salvage his grades and finish off his studies with half-decent grades and managed to graduate, though now his graduation was not such a great accomplishment, to him, than he had thought it was when he had started in the Academy.
Now a Genin, Asao decided that he would do what he could to get better, and his constant want to fill his father’s void in his family drives him to work harder. His indifference has become less so, as he has started to revive his wants, needs, desires, and goals, he began opening up more to people close to him. Even with the many steps he had taken towards recovering from his father’s death, Asao still has a long way to go to move past it, mention of his father and his father’s death still being a sore spot with him.

Third Person Point of View:
It was silent, serene, and peaceful out. This was a wonderful surrounding and Asao loved it. The lack of people, bodies, noise especially. After being out in the world throughout the day, it was calming to be able to escape reality in this peaceful place. Stars dotted the sky, one large one in particular giving off the majority of the light which allowed humanity to see during the dead of night. Sitting out atop his house was the best place he could think to go. The cool breeze flowing by now and again, whipping through his hair lightly as it passed, cooling off his body and relaxing him even more. Sitting there, a pen and papers in his hand, words scribbled down upon the page. As he scanned the horizon, he noticed different groups and collections of people here or there, interacting with one another on the streets, or perhaps within buildings with open windows to allow Asao viewing. Some fighting, some loving, some just talking, and others simply walking, it always intrigued Asao how so many different and separate groups of people could live together and mesh themselves into a single working community.
As he drew inspiration from some thing or another Asao would scribble down more words on his paper, perhaps erase some ideas in order to re-word or simply correct mistakes he figured he’d made. He was so focused on what he was writing, yet so relaxed, that it seemed nearly impossible to do, but somehow Asao managed. A sigh escaped his lips as he slouched back slightly, still leaning against the roof, staring out over the village, writing by the light of the moon. Scribbles, scribbles, and more scribbles down onto the page as the time passed and different people appeared in the moonlight. After getting what he thought was an ample amount of writing for the night, he figured it best to retire to his room for the night. Standing up he yawned slightly before making his way off the roof and down into his room. Setting his pad down on the nightstand next to his bed, he stumbled over to his bed, the exhaustion of the day finally starting to take effect on him, making him start to finally feel “tired” for the first time that night. With a final yawn he laid himself down upon his bed and closed his eyes, ”Tomorrow’s a new day, full of new opportunities… I wonder what will happen…” And with that last bit of energy spent on thought, he drifted off into unconsciousness. -Not my best work… But with Writer’s Block after finishing the profile… I suppose this will have to do…
