Incantation Kuchiyose, Tenshukensei (Summoning: God of Balance.)
Summoning Species: Ethereal Phoenix
History of the contract:
Long ago in ancient times, a phoenix specter by the name of Sosei, thought to exsist only in legend and folklore, roamed the eternal world of the spirit world, adjacent to the mortal realm. Legend states that Sosei was born out of the endless greed of men, their hunger for power as they battled each other for land, power and wealth. Such chaotic actions disrupted the balance of the world. From this atrocity Sosei was spawned, a wraith in the shape of a beautiful phoenix, feeding off the life force and ethereal energies of the world. This mystical beast roams the spiritual plane, draining the souls of dead cast into this 'limbo' as they await their final judgment, because of this Sosei is referred to what many call 'The Wheel of Fate,' the endless cycle of birth death and rebirth to which all souls are irresistibly drawn. Henceforth it has been referred to in many mythologies as 'the god of death', 'guardian of the spirit world' and 'the keeper of balance'. However these tales and legends of its power merely compelled mortals to hunt for the creature, driven by a mad desire for power, they sought to use it as a weapon against their enemies, that their factions’ reign might be eternal. Alas it did not matter how many, or who hunted for the creature. All who sought the power of the 'wheel' found only death at Sosei's talons. Another notable feat regarding the legend of this spectral phoenix is its constant rivalry with a dragon specter by the name of Eien, a being much like Sosei itself, only this enigmatic creature was the mirror opposite of the phoenix. Eien serving as a hate filled and vengeful beast, a testament to the imbalance of the world, the refusal to complete the cycle of death and rebirth, an anomaly within the spirit realm. Since the dawn of their creation the two have battled for dominance over the spiritual plane, yet a victor has never been decided, and most likely there never will be.
At any rate, the human race continued to pursue the mythical bird for centuries, seeking its power for themselves, yet all met the same fate, and Sosei lived on as the so called 'keeper of balance.' Yet there was one, who succeeded, a man named Kagekyo no Yoshitsune. Through a grim series of rituals, Kagekyo forcefully entered the spirit realm to confront Sosei at the cost of his own life, rather then attempting to summon the beast like so many have tried before. Thus the two entered a long grueling battle, Sosei thinking this to be merely another trick to utilize his might showed no mercy to the mortals spirit, the outcome was clear from the beginning, Kagekyo... would fall, it was as if he knew his fate had already been decided. However he refused to surender, refused to give in. This act of unyielding devotion intrigued the mystic being, and so it ceased its assult, and asked the mortal man. Your acts are futile mortal, like so many others before, you will fail to enslave me... why do you persist in defying fate itself? Kagekyo thus explained to the beast, that he did not defy fate, but accepted it. Claiming he did not seek to enslave the being like so many before himself, but serve it. He and his followers worshiped what the creature stood for, and as such he asked for the phoenix's allegiance in his fight for balance. At first reluctant, thinking this to be some trick. Sosei thus gazed into the heart of the mortal soul in front of him and what he saw pleased the ancient spirit. Sosei beheld Kagekyo's unyielding devotion in the name of fate, an abhorrence for chaos, and a desire to preserve the balance of the world at the cost of his own life. Thus Sosei accepted Kagekyo's offer, and was sworn to the Hando no Hateshi, to come to their aid whenever he was called upon. However… the bird demanded only one thing in return, the soul of Kagekyo no Yoshitsune, to be kept within his own being for all eternity, as a sign of their pact. So it came to pass that Sosei became a minion of the Hando no Hateshi, and a being to which the order worship to this day.
How to Receive Contract:
Sosei is a very unique creature with abhorrence for imbalance and the petty ambitions of mortal men, which breeds only chaos throughout the land. Furthermore being hunted by them for and eternity has added to the beasts seething hate for mankind, as such Sosei has never been known to present his power or servitude to anyone, except one man, one man who changed Soseis view upon some of the mortal races, Kagekyo no Youshitsune. He convinced the wraith to swear its allegiance to him and his organization, who fought and died for what Sosei stood for. To gain the honor of being bestowed the technique, the hands of fate must show and undying devotion to fate itself and the 'wheel,' to understand the necessary cycle of birth death and rebirth, to have ones heart consumed with desire for balance, and the will to bring judgment upon those who would disrupt it. Upon gaining the technique, the two chosen, must go through a certain ritual, one that will connect them with the spirit realm for a short while, it is here that their worthiness will be decided by Sosei himself. If they are unworthy, the specter will devour their soul during the course of the ritual, those who lack conviction will be punished. If deemed worthy however, Sosei brands them with the mark of the Hando no Hateshi, engulfing their hand in pure white energy, shaping itself into the symbol, appearing on the upper part of their hand in the color white.

Summoning
Name: Sosei
Description:
Sosei is a mystical bird made entirely of energy; a phoenix. Originating since time immemorial, it has since long shed of its physical aspect, now only appearing as a wraith from the realm of spirits, and the dead. Sosei has been in legends since the dawn of eternity, and its appearance has always been the source of many men’s awe and curiosity. Once it appears, the transition from the spiritual realm to the material plane generates blue-white flames, which slowly take the form of the phoenix. Once Sosei is fully summoned, it appears as a flaming bird inhabited by a white light, giving it an otherworldly appearance despite its physical form. An intriguing aspect of Sosei is that the flames composing it seems to consume him the longer it stays in the material world, slowly making it undergo a series of hues and colors before disappearing.
Attacks:
Both Ninjas bearing the mark of the hand of fate must be present in order for the phoenix to be summoned. Using the mark as a medium for the summoning, both must concentrate an extreme amount of Chakra onto the symbol until it changes its physical properties, and spawn the symbols of the contract in the air around them. Once both halves of the contract merge together, the summoners’ Chakra is absorbed by the symbols to give them a tangible, energetic form. Both ninjas must then sign the contract with their blood to summon the phoenix. Sosei will emerge from the convergence of the symbols in a flash of blue flames. Sosei, bearing the same constitution as a wraith is bound by the limits of his dimension; it is intangible and immaterial, more akin to air than true matter even in the world of men. Alas, the phoenix is unable to touch anything, however, this state enables it to traverse any distance free of obstacles since it can pass through virtually any structure. Upon the command of the Hands of Fate, Sosei will charge towards its prey at break-neck speed. To sustain itself, the phoenix must absorb Chakra constantly before consuming itself, and returning to the spiritual world. Alas, once it is launched, the phoenix will begin to devour Chakra from the world around it in a form of implosion, this creates a violent vortex easily able to draw in nearby opponents, hereby making itself disappear after an instant in the form of and implosion. However, in this moment, every tangible living thing in the vicinity turns to glass. As energy is drained from a human being, or any object, loosing the very essence of its life force, its chakra, its soul. The object will thus revert to glass, seeing as it is merely and empty shell of itself, without any composition, fragile, and clear, nothing is left behind. The users themselves are deviod of their chakra as the beast dissapears due to the ravenous appetite of Sosei, however unlike everything else around them, they walk away with their lives.. and souls intact.
No records have been registered as to Sosei being ever used in combat, however the Hando no Hateshi are notoriously proficient at hidden even the most insignificant detail about their organizations past. There are areas around the world that could have potentially been victim to the phoenix’s power, as entire forests, rivers and mountain ranges, and everything found within have turned into glass over night, and remain so even to this day, with no clue as to how or why.
-The wheel must turn…all are redeemed in the cleansing agony of birth, death and rebirth.
