Likes/Dislikes: He loves swimming, more so than his brother and sister, but his father is the only other person to match him in that area. He also adores reading about techniques and people from before the Uzumaki area, sometimes he locks himself up in his library for days to find a rare scroll or book, forgetting to eat or sleep.
He doesn't dislike a lot of things, but the few things he doesn't like, he hates. He hates puppets, though he refuses to show it around the other ninjas in the village, he goes completely berserk when he is fighting a puppet master. He also hates people who abuse and take advantage of the people who love them. And one thing, he hates more than anything is when people talk bad about his old fiancé, Misa Akimoto, then he goes insane and will punch your face in.
Personality: When he is at rest, or hanging around the village, he has an abnormally calm personality. Sometimes it even borders on depressing, but he refuses to say anything about it to anyone. He also has a problem with risky or dangerous chances, and doesn’t believe in sacrificing people’s lives to save more.
When in training, the depression thing almost instantly lifts and he seems almost happy. He swims long distances and practices his breathing , sometimes taking a Genin or Chuunin with him. But he refuses anyone to be around when he practices with Samehada, thinking it is a dangerous weapon and that to many things can go wrong.
In Battle, he keeps a very cool head, and is able to ignore most taunts and tricks. He follows through with plans and doesn’t leave anyone behind. But, if an opponent could find one of the few things that disturb him, he will start to lose his head and pull out larger jutsu. And if you can find whatever really pisses him off, then he will not hold back and probably kill whoever his opponent is.

Hair Color: Black, with two long strands twisted together and hanging over his shoulder, and the rest cut short and spiking down-ward.
Physical Appearance: He has light blue skin, with three marks under each eyes and dark nails that are sharper than normal nails are. When he was younger he was teased by how much he looked like the traitor Kisame, but he learned to ignore it. On his chest is two scars; one was long and deep, like it was made by a sword or knife, and the other almost looks like a scratch mark made from a human hand.
He is a fairly tall person, with surprisingly little actual muscle. He is more toned than anything, but that doesn’t mean he is weak. He usually wears a pair of tight black pants kept up by a belt he carries all his ninja tools on, and he carries Samehada on his back, tied up in cloth, and a tight black shirt. Over it all he wears the white and dark blue robe of the Mizukage and the hat, but is always wearing his fighting clothes underneath. And on his neck is a small ring on a chain he wears everywhere.

History:
Young Life --- His father was Totoro Hoshigaki, who also had the fish-like qualities, and his mother was Sakura Hoshigaki, a normal person who owned a bakery shop in the Hidden Mist Village. They met and instantly feel in love, and fostered quite a few children. The eldest was a girl name Kimiko, she had almost no ninja skill and no will to fight, so she went to work with their mother at the shop. They also had a set of twins Kin and Kirin, who had pale skin and blue eyes like their mother, but markings and sharp teeth like their father. They used a lot of wind jutsu and most of their techniques worked best when they were together. But he was their last child, and probably the most like his father. He has blue skin, marks and the white eyes, but his mothers black hair.
As he grew up, his twin brothers never shut up about how he looked like Kisame, the biggest traitor and probably the most infamous member of the Hoshigaki family. They taunted him and never left him alone, he only found comfort with his mother and sister and training with his father. Finally, his dad put him in the academy when he was 7.
Academy Life --- Kenji was rather alone in the academy. Most of the students avoided him because his older brothers spread rumors about him. Only one person was ever nice to him and helped him blossom into a great ninja, Misa Akimoto. She was a blonde haired beauty that everyone was friends with, but she only hung out with Kenji. She actually introduced him to Ice jutsu, and he helped her with certain water jutsu she had trouble with. When they graduated, Misa was at the top of the class and Kenji was right behind her, and they were the fiercest team the teacher had ever seen.
Genin Life --- Misa and Kenji were automatically put on the same team, because of how well they worked together. They were put with the toughest teacher and another team-mate, but no matter what they did they were inseparable. And of course Kin and Kirin just couldn’t stand for him to be happy. They didn’t hate their brother, they just hated that he had the full Hoshigaki blood and that he could actually become better than them. He mastered Water Justus down-pat, but had trouble with the Exploding Shockwave. He couldn’t summon large enough amounts of water for any of his Justus to be effective, but he was an excellent swordsman for his age, and was able to use it when he couldn’t use his normal jutsu.
So he spent the large portion of his free time trying to master that one technique, but still had trouble. Still, he went on missions and was starting to do things that most of his family couldn’t imagine doing at his age, and his dad did a lot of one on one training, and Kenji was able to get enough water with the Exploding Shockwave, but not nearly as much as his father.
Chuunin Life --- Kenji and Misa started getting a lot closer when they became Chuunin, the Mizukage made sure they were partnered together, since he was great friend of Kenji’s father. Eventually they even started dating, and they were even closer. Kin and Kirin were almost Jounin, but they couldn’t stand to have Kenji beat them. So, they took him to the outskirts of the village and started attacking him, trying to prove that they were better.
Kenji could have taken one of them, but they teamed up on him and were beating him up pretty bad using their air jutsu. Then, he tried used the Exploding Shockwave so that he could have a chance at fighting back and a huge lake came out, completely washing away his brothers. Kenji got badly hurt and had an extremely low chakra level, but his brothers never taunted him again.
Jounin Life --- Misa and Kenji were both made Jonin, and then Kenji proposed in front of both of their families, and she said yes without a second thought. Now they wore the others ring on a chain everywhere they went. By now Misa was leading a small group of Genin, but he choose to continue to work alone, taking on only one or two students for short periods.
About a week before they were married, there was information of an invasion into the Land of Water. According to the reports there was only roughly three or four ninja out in the woods near the Eastern part of the country at this time, so the Mizukage sent four of his most trusted Jounin to capture the invaders. Kenji thought this might be a trap, and to investigate a little more, but there had been rumors of war spreading through the country and he was worried about seeming weak and sent them post haste.
Once they got there the four broke off to try and find the ninja and capture them. They all knew something was amiss and were cautious, but still went ahead with the mission. After about five minutes there was a scream, Misa. Kenji went as fast as he could, and eventually found her, but something was wrong. She was pale, and bleeding in a lot of places. He tried to move forward to help her, but she started attacking him. One of the ninja was a puppet master, and had quickly converted her body into a make-shift puppet. He tried to avoid hurting her, but then she slashed across his chest and the Puppet-master started taunting him and laughing, and eventually he snapped. He used every jutsu he had to suffer and kill that one man.
But it was all a distraction, back at the Village the ninja came and assassinated the Mizukage while he was asleep. Kenji was out cold for the next few days, but he didn’t attend the funeral. He had said that the thing was a trap, and now Misa was gone forever. Another funeral was held for her, and everyone from Kenji and Misa’s family attended, along with a few friends. But now the Village was in turmoil, because no one could decide who the next Mizukage should be.
Kage/Village Leader Life --- The Council met together a few weeks after the assassination on the Mizukage, trying to decide who the next Mizukage should be. But, while they were deciding, a few of them noticed how much Kenji was helping around the village, helping to organize the people and getting the village back on its feet. They deliberated and actually decided to see what he thought about being the next Kage.
Strangely enough, he agreed. Saying he wanted to make the village a better place. “It’s what she would want me to do…” were the exact words, though no one except the Council-man knew that. So he became the Mizukage, and set straight to work establishing the Village Hidden in the Mist as a powerful country, and was slowly making the village a better place.
|Ninja Skills|
Primary Weapons: A large sword, that is very thin and light compared to most swords that size. It is largely based off of the type of swords used by the Seven Swordsman of the Mist, but without any special powers. But, since he practiced with it as hard as he could, he became an effective sword-fighter and was very quick with his sword.

Jutsus and Techniques:
Mist Clone Technique: Makes intangible clones of the user. Good for distractions, but not for offensive techniques.
Water Prison Technique: This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it.
Stormy Blockade: This jutsu allows the user to summon a giant wave of water from the sky to crash down on their opponent. This jutsu can also be cancelled in an instant.
Exploding Water Shockwave: This lets the user summon a large amount of water inside their body and create a giant wave from their mouth and even ride on top of it.
Five Eating sharks: The user can put his hands on top of the water and five sharks form from the water. They move in fire consecutive attacks, starting with First Meal, Second Meal, Third Meal, Fourth Meal and finally Fifth meal where all of them attack at once.
Water Wall: This jutsu allows the user to create a giant wall out of water surrounding him. The wall can surround 360 degrees if necessary. It is effective at blocking most jutsu, except combinations and elemental fusion techniques.
Water Shark Breakthrough: This jutsu lets the user summon one water shark to quickly advance towards the enemy through the air, but dissipates once it hits the ground.
Water Shark Gun Technique: An advanced form of the Water Shark Breakthrough, this lets the user summon three sharks in unison to attack from different angles, but takes much more chakra than the Water Shark Breakthrough.
Ice Prison Technique: This jutsu creates pillars of ice crystals that home in on an opponent and trap them in ice. Unlike the Water Prison Technique, no further action seems to be required to maintain the prison once the victim is caught. This jutsu may also be used defensively as a wall of ice
Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm: This jutsu creates a cluster of ice needles in the shape of miniature swallows, which the user then throws at the opponent. These needles can change direction in midair and will maim the opponent with their sharp wings.
Bullet Technique: A water technique where the user gathers a large amount of water in their mouth and then shots it out into a spherical projectile.
Rapid Crusher: This technique creates water that spirals in the user's hand and fires at a high-speed at the enemy
Snake’s Mouth:This jutsu allows the user to summon a large amount of water. The water then transforms itself into the shape of a snake and crashes down on their enemy, literally swallowing them. After it has swallowed them it turns into a river that carries their enemy away.
Flash Grinding Destruction: The user summons a large body of water already filled with water sharks, then it can separate and dive into different areas of the water.
Infinite Sharks: The user summons countless number of water sharks, all attacking one enemy. Then when they are all close together they explode, causing a huge explosion of water that tears apart the enemy.
Thousand Flying Needles of Death The water in the air freezes and forms into thousands of long needles, surrounding the enemy. The only downside is there is a hole in the needles right above them which can be used as an escape.
